Default Alarm issue

Well guys i bought a 1994 accord i got the alarm remote witch is to the aftermarket alarm installed in the car. The remote does not work i replaced the battery to the remote still nothing. I asked the prior owner he said it was in the car when he bought it and he never used it. It would be nice if the alarm worked any ideas guys? I heard about the valet switch before but cant find it. You are going to have to find the alarm. It is likely under your driver's dash. You should follow wires that look out of place to find the alarm control unit. Once you find it, post the make/model on here. You may also want to search the web to find the manual for that alarm.

Mine came with an add on alarm as well (95 EX). The "control" for mine was inside the center console, by the shifter....just another place to look

From what i am gathering i beleive the alarm is an alpine 8025 i found this because of e remote being an alpine 8426. I also beleive i found the valet switch under my steering wheel its just a switch i can move then it goes right back to where it was is that the switch? Also i found a power wire with a fuse not connected to my battery does that need connected?

Without know the wiring of this unit, hard to say. I'd suggest getting the wiring diagram for the unit before doing anything...

Have you tried connecting that power wire?
Seems like the next thing to try?

If that did not work, me personally, I would cut each wire close to the alarm brain box and wire in a new alarm.

I bought an AutoPage Alarm for $40 brand new on Amazon. With all the wires already ran from the old alarm it would take less than an hour to wire up the new alarm - IMO
