Default Alarm problem on '99 Accord LX

When I bought my car about a month ago it came with an aftermarket alarm, it was fine for a couple weeks until one day when I tried to open the door with the keyless remote entry the lights started blaring and the horn was going off for like a couple minutes. After that instance it would always go off whether I open the door or close the door so I had to disconnect the horn.

A couple weeks after that I got a new alarm installed (Autopage RF-220 if that makes any difference) and the same thing happened (Horn started blaring and lights started flashing). I disabled the horn AGAIN but whenever I open the doors or lock the doors the lights would flash for about a couple minutes or so. I assume that if I connect my horn it would go off too, but seeing as this is the second alarm on it installed I'm beginning to think it is something related with the default "car alarm", if there's such a thing. Can anyone help? I'm a newbie when it comes to cars... Thanks in advance!

You may have a conflicting problem with either the factory alarm(more than likely) or previously installed alarm. If you have the factory alarm fob,i would go ahead disarm the new unit and use the factory alarm until you have a specialist diagnose the issue.

I don't have the factory alarm fob anymore. Is there a better alternative?

Disconnect the current alarm brain.
