Default Alternative to Honda dealer for Rebuilt Automatic Transmission. Autozone?

I have a 2000 Accord LX-V6 and is in perfect condition and does not have a single dent any were and the interior is still like new after all these years. Around 100,000 miles, I replaced the ATF with Redline D4 and added a ATF cooler & filter. I just put on 10,000 in last 4 months and it has 140,000 miles on it now. I will be driving 30,000 / year from now on and would like to keep driving it as long as I can (up to at least 200,000 miles). The only thing that could give me problem in the future is the Automatic Transmission.

A rebuilt transmission from Honda dealer is $3000 + labor. Auto zone has it for $2000. I have replaced a clutch in a manual transmission before and I am confident that I can replace the automatic as well.

Has anyone used a rebuilt automatic transmission from Auto zone?

It there another alternative to Honda dealer for a rebuilt automatic transmission?

Thanks

Never have use a trans from them so can't really answer. You'll have to do some research, comparing prices and warranties and go from there.

Someone else might chime in with more info.

well - seems you're worrying well in advance, since it's working now.

I'd just do a drain and fill on AT every 15,000 (2x/yr); bet your tranny will go the distance and then some.
