Think mine has been noisey for 70,000 miles.

Some days yes or not. If I pour a small amount of water on the inner belt surface ...The noise stops instantly & completly for a long time. That works every time.

New Serpent needed ?

Can I screw up the belt change by forcing the tensioner to relax enough to slide the old belt off ? Our only car. Can not screw up.

Or pay the dealer.
