Default Auto Trans shift parameter question

Hello all, it's been a few years since I've been in here. In 09, my wife picked up an 06 Accord, 2.4l auto trans. It's been a fantastic car, period. We've recently gotten an 11 CR V. We also have a 94 Accord, 5 speed stick, 2.2l.

My question is kinda complicated.

The 94 I can drive it without taking the tach over 1750 to upshift and the car runs great, pulls hills the whole bit. When I drive either the 06 or the 11 (both have the 2.4l), I can't help but want them to upshift the same way I shift the stick. I'm an old trucker and I've proven that shifting lower on the tach and getting to high gear as soon as possible boosts mpg's drastically.

I had a courier job in Orlando FL years ago. I drove a 93 Nissan Altima, 5 speed stick, and got 30 mpg in the city, in stop and go traffic. The 94 Accord is behaving much like the Altima did. I know I'm not tearing up the engine keeping the rpms down. Essentially, any speed over 35 mph comes in high gear.

Can the automatic transmission be reprogrammed to behave in the manner I want?

06 Accord 2.4l, a/t
11 CR V 2.4l, a/t

Sorry but the PCM is going to control the shifts. Again one of many reasons I like stick shifts.
