good luck

I think that since it was all disassembled a year ago, that is really going to help me... plus there is anti seize on everything!!! I wasn't sure that was a good idea but the guy who helped me was ASE so I thought he'd know better than I would

I think I'm glad he did that, now

There are 2 that may be tough to loosen.

1. Axle nut. I'd remove the tire, unstake the nut, then put the tire back on. Then use a 36mm socket with breaker bar to remove.

2. Lower ball joint nut. If using regular tools, the whole ball joint will spin instead of the nut. The trick is to use your jack under the lower control arm and jack up the lower control arm until your car just comes off of the jack stand. Then there should be enough weight to remove that castle nut.

The bolt that goes through the lower part of the fork could be difficult to loosen.

I found that impact wrenches help a lot to loosen these items. I have done this with normal tools as well.

I am no expert but I am pretty sure we had EVERYTHING apart last year on both sides... I think that will be good news .. thanks for letting me know how to do that so I did not end up cursing and having a coronary

Hopefully going to get some axles up under this bitch today, I am a virgin with this job, I hope I don't **** the transmission up... so long as I make sure the slip ring comes out with the old one, and the new one pops in, I should be okay - yeah?

Thanks everyone

Well yall were right about the vibration issue with the cheap axles.. can anything be done about that? It's only under moderate acceleration and happens in most of the gears.... it's not horrible and does not ALWAYS happen but it feels a lot like driving over an ungrated country road with the fast bad vibration

You can live w/ vibration or return axles for credit and try higher quality axles.

good luck

Pretty much what I thought
LoL
They're okay though, right? Vibration is just normal for these cheap ones?
I just needed to make the car drivable.. not luxurious ...

They probabaly won't last, but no one can say. The looseness may cause earlier failure.

Since axle provider will provide a replacement, you can always replace. I tired of this after 2 axles each side.

good luck

That's the best part of being poor.. not doing it right costs more than doing it right and you can't afford to do it right
