Default battery question

hi..
iv got to change the battery on my 2005 accord cdti.. i havnt got the radio codes so i was looking online at memory savers, and i was wondering "do i realy need one of these or can i just put jump leads on spare battery and the other ends onto the car terminals before i take out the battery.. ?? could i..?

You could do that, as long as you are careful & don't create a short-circuit. Figure out some way to hold the battery cables so they don't touch anything after they are disconnected & you remove the car's battery.

Here in USA we can go on-line to Honda Ownerlink and look up the radio codes. Since we don't get the cdti, I know you're not in USA but maybe there's something like that?
