Default Blower motor problem

I used this
to troubleshoot and find that I did indeed need a new Blower Motor Transistor.

Got the part from Autozone.

Installed. I was so excited when it worked, then got really angry when after a 5 minute drive with A/C on it burned up.

What next? I feel like I am way over my head. How can I check the Amperage the Blower Motor is drawing? I pulled it out and it looked almost new.

I should also mention that I DID replace the Air Filter at the same time as the Blower Motor Transistor because several source/videos mentioned that it being dirty was the reason the Blower Motor would be drawing too many Amps.
