Default Brake fluid replacement.

Hi, have a 95 Accord four cylinder, am wanting to replace the brake fluid in it. Got a quote of fifty five dollars to replace the fluid. For that price do they replace all the fluid in the lines and master cylinder which should include bleeding? Also, Honda recommends also replacing the fluid in the ABS module but nobody wants to do that, why? Advice wanted and appreciated, thank you.

Yes, normally all the fluid in the master cylinder and lines are replaced and bleed.

The ABS fluid should normally be changed too, it is under high pressure and the bleeding procedure is separate and different than the regular brake lines. During the ABS modulator unit bleeding, the engine is started to activate the pump motor.

$50 is pretty reasonable, especially if they change the fluid in the ABS modulator unit too.
