Default Brake Light

I have a 2001 Accord. The brake light came on and now the indicator light to warn you when a door is open is also on. It shows the brake light and all 4 doors are open. What could be the problem?

Have the alternator tested (tested, do not replace unless it tests bad). What you described often happens when the alternator is on its way to the grave.
Stores like Autozone or Advance Auto Parts will test the alternator for free. Might as well have them test the battery too.
Also be sure the battery connections are clean and tight.

Oh my, well it's the original alternator that came on the car back in 2001 and I have almost 300,000 miles on it. If it is the alternator, it definitely hung in there for a while. I will have it tested..

If that was your problem after your test...

Well needless to say, my car died last night as I was trying to make it home. It was definetly the alternator abd hopefully I will have it back on the road soon. I got 298,000 out of the original alternator that was built with the vehicle.
