Default brake pedal

I finally fixed my brake line!
It was harder than it seemed. i took out the fuel line that goes to the chambers? and squeezed my hand through to remove the other end of the pipe that connects to the proportional value i think it is.

Now, my biggest concern is that my brake pedal is so spongy.
I mean the car doesn't start braking until 3-4 inches into it.
Lets say from the top of the pedal to the very bottom is about 12"., it will start braking after 4" into it. (dont think dirty now )

I put new brake fluid and bled the brakes 3x2. so pumped each side 3x then did it again. so i pumped all wheels 6x in total.
I checked for any possible leaks but there isn't any.
What could be the cause of this?

Also if i plan to bleed again, i'm wondering if i can mix honda with toyota's DOT3 fluids

You didn't bleed enough. It can taek 5-10 bleeds per wheel in my experience to get all the air out. Try RR-LR-RF-LF sequence of bleeding (longest to shortest).

good luck

I'm sure there is still air in the brake system. Keep on bleeding the system and top it off with brake fluid.

Cap on and off doesn't matter. Make sure the reservoir level doesn't go empty, or you introduce more air into the system.

I would guess that dot 3 honda and toyota are compatible.
