Well this is what my radius rod looks like coming out the back side and where it attaches to the back side, yours maybe different. Here's also a photo from majestic honda parts website. This is for your car, just to give ya an idea.

Hello Randy:

Thank you very much for the extra effort on providing me with the pictures. The setback on the right side seems to be longer from the front than it is on the left side. Apparently the right front fender had been straightened at one time. I am beginning to wonder if the wrong-length radius rod was used, but the pull to the right has happened since we started using the car again after it was stored from March to November.

Best regards,

John

Those radius rods are positioned in rubber bushings on opposite sides. If something is loose, it allows the suspension to move fore-&-aft as you brake.

All the other suspension bushings kinda hold things into place, so you may need to lift the car & push/pull very hard to see whether its loose.

Thank you again for your help. Looks like I need to get educated fast on my Honda. What do you recommend for a technical (repair and service) manual? I have the jacks, jack stands, and tools from when I put a new engine in my '84 VW Vanagon. By comparison, tightening the nut on the end of the radius rod should be relatively easy. However, I don't want to jump in and break more than I fix.

Just run down to your local auto parts store and pick up a Chilton, or a Haynes Manual for your year of car. I think they're around $20 or $30 dollars. I've got both, they're about the same.

The absolute very best repairbook is from www.helminc.com but its about $80. Well worth it if you plan on doing much work yourself. If youre a VW guy, this is the book that corresponds to the Bentley manual.
