Can 4Cyl Pull a Small Trailer
I am a new member and am considering buying an Accord. My question is this - I currently have a 1997 V6 Taurus and pull a small boat trailer. The trailer is attached using a Class I hitch and the boat is 14' alum with a 15hp motor. Would a 4cyl Accord pull the boat and trailer reasonably. I use the boat for short distances not more than 15 times a year. I also am 66 and certainly will not be breaking any land speed records. Thanks

Hello Cj New Member to the Honda Accord Forums..
Your 4cyl ford and a 4cyl Honda can both pull a boat of that size..I looked it up on Reese Hitch on the web..
Happy Boating...

RE: Can 4Cyl Pull a Small Trailer
My '96 Accord 4 cylinder with 102K miles pulls 800 pounds of 18' sailboat and trailer with no problems at all, and mileage stays at about 26-27 mpg at 60 mph. The hitch was easy to install.
