Default Brakes suck!!!

hello everyone, I have a 1990 honda accord ex and lately the brakes have been acting up on me. What happens is when I push on the brakes to stop the petal begins to slowly sink to the floor, and eventually if i let it keep sinking I loose all stoping power. I also noticed that if I were to lock them up only the passenger side brake caliper locks up. I have already blead the brakes, and it doesnt have any fluid leaks anywhere. Can somebody please help me out here? thanks all.

i would consider the master cylinder. Do the brakes always feel this way, or just after the car has been running a while?

Yes, the brakes always do this, it gets worse after its been running for a while. Why do I loose braking power on one caliper and not the other? the driver side stops working and the passenger side has to do all the work.

chk for brake fluid leaks but most likely it is what MBO said,, an internal leak in the brake master cylinder

if you go to the DIY section,, there is a write up on how to replace the brake master cylinder

The DIY Section Rules For EveryOne, Please Check It Out Members Cause Desert Honda Is The Main Keeper Of That Section...

I would flush the system first and then properly bleed the brakes. when was the last time the brake fluid was changed out in that car?

if the pedal sinks , flushing the brake system , is a waste of his time.. if no outer leaks, master cylinder has an internal leak

I had the same problem in my '94 and it turned out to be that the passenger rear was not properly bled. I decided to change out the fluid and properly bleed the brakes and since then the pedal has been rock hard.

IF he has done everything as he said, then I would agree with you
