Default A/c Clutch wont engage on 05 accord

My a/c clutch has stopped engaging on my 05 4 cylinder Accord LX. When i push the a/c button there is no engagement of the clutch or the fans. If i shut the car off and turn the compressor clutch by hand a few inches of rotation then start the car and push the a/c button, the clutch will engage and the fans come on for a few seconds and then the clutch disengages and the fans stop. Any ideas on what the problem is??

Your A/C system may be low on refrigerant. Visually inspect the A/C condenser for any rock damage which may have caused a hole.

The dealership just replaced my clutch and stator a couple months ago. I wanted to try changing it myself, but I know nothing about refrigerant, so I would have had to pay for that anyway. They charged me $600. Sometimes the clutch would engage, but it wouldn't last long.

I forgot to mention in my first post that a couple of days earlier i heard a sqeeling and rattling sound while it was engaged on defrost. It stopped after i turned it on and off a couple times. Almost like it was half engaged. I dont understand why the clutch will engage for a few seconds after i turn the car off and manually turn the clutch by hand and then restart the car and hit the a/c button

You should figure out if the problem is electrical, or mechanical.

Unplug the connector going to the compressor. It will probably have two wires (maybe it has one). Start the car and turn on the a/c. Measure the voltage across the two pins. It should have 12V.
