A/C Line Valve

A/C Line Valve
The valve on the a/c line to add R134A, has a very, minor, tiny leak on my 96 Accord.I want to try and tighten the inside of the valve/stem a little more to see if it will help.
Is the correct tool for doing it ,the same as the kind one would use to replace/tighten the valve stems on tires?
Thanks!

I have never had to do that on my a/c system, so I am not sure if you can further damage the valve by doing that. From what I have read with a/c leaks, this is not a common problem.
You can also call a shop that does a/c work to ask them.
Always be careful when working on the a/c system, because its under pressure. Wear goggles to protect your eyes.
Honda sells the entire line with the valves as part of it. So you can go that route if you can't fix the valve by tightening it.
Let us know your results.

The tool for 134a valves is a little bigger than the standard valve core tool.
Most parts stores have them.
You might also try to grab the stem with little tiny needle nose pliers and lightly pull up and wiggle to get the stem to seat.

Thanks All!
Im no stranger to A/C work,I even upgraded old cars from the R12 to R134 years ago and did the retro fit kits etc. I just never had to tighten a valve down inside. My valve was showing some tiny bubbles once in a while,it made a little leak noise and when I put the blue cap back on,the leak stopped.
If the valve cannot be tightened a little more with the tool, and is worn out somewhat,I will buy a new valve and recharge the system as needed.
Just needed to know what the tool may be.
