A/C turns on whenever I turn the fans on, why??

Hi,
Very strange, just bought a used 2005 accord (v6).
Whenever I start the car (the fans are off), and when I turn the fans on the a/c automatically turns on, I have to press the a/c button to turn it off (the display then reads a/c off).
If I press the 'off' button that turns the fans off, when I turn it back on the a/c is on again (even though the a/c was off when I turned the fans off).
Is this an electrical problem?
My solution was to just keep the fans on before I shut the car off, so when I restart the fans are already on and so the a/c won't turn on.

Auto climate control?? There's a bunch of default settings to make it behave that way. Check the owners manual for that stuff.
Even if it's not ACC, the AC will automatically run when the ventilation is set to defrost.
