Default Cabin Air Filter

I know, simple job. Just take out the two screws holding in the glovebox and there it is. I'm wondering though, is there a way to take off the arm that connects to the side of the glovebox to control its up and down movements? I replaced the air filter last night just holding the glovebox in one hand so I wouldn't break it but any help would be appreciated(I have a 7th gen by the way).

Also, I'm looking into getting a rear sway bar for my car but it seems the only company I can find that makes one is progress. Are they a good brand or will the part break in three weeks? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Progress is good. You can also get the Acura TL-S one. There are probably sets made by Comptech, Suspension Technologies and a few others. Any of these is good.

Progress makes the thickest one available at 24mm, the TL-S one is 19mm and cheaper, but increases performance. I have one on my car...

The arm just stops it from opening all the way and stressing the hinges, why would you want to remove it?

Because even when I take out the two screws the glovebox is still dangling there with all its weight on the arm and I would rather just find some way to remove it and put it back on after i've changed out the filter then change out the air filter and holding the glovebox in one hand.

My Helm book says to do exactly that. Unhook the damper & let the glovebox hang by its hinge. Dont need to remove any screws at all.

I dont have the car to look at right now, but IIRC the outboad end of the damper it just connected to the glovebox by a hook that just snaps off.

On my accord, I let the glovebox hang a bit and you just flex the plastic arms inward a bit to unhook them, then I could get to the filter door.
