My 99 EX Automatic Sedan makes an unusual noise when I back out of the garage in the morning. As I come to a stop, after backing up and before I shift into drive, there is a noise that sounds like a whoosh of some sort. Any idea what it may be?

 

Need to explain when the noise happens better. If it's during breaking, I-d suspect that the rotors are rusting overnight and you are hearing the break pads cleaning them off. Totally normal.

 

It's after I shift into drive, and before I move forward. It sounds like some sort of pump noise. I have noticed it happens when my car has been parked for a long period of time.

 

Weird .... I-d have to see the car to tell ...... sorry.
