can anyone tell me what this connector is for?

I noticed that it was unplugged, didn't really affect the car's operation, but I'm wondering what its purpose is?

Info. regarding the EGR system is available in the online service manuals, see the sticky above, "Common DIY and other info. thread."

That controls the vacuum to the EGR valve (opens/closes the EGR valve).

Has your check engine light been turning on while driving?

PAhonda: sure has, I've been pulling my hair out for weeks trying to hunt down the source of the code 12, and now I feel real dumb.
