Lightbulb Can remove key while in drive/some indicator lights not working - fuse issue?

This morning, my '95 Accord would not start when leaving for work. Electrical was working and nothing seemed dim, so figured it might be an alternator issue. Went back outside later to make sure I had turned all the lights off and noticed the car was in drive with no key in the ignition. Apparently I was able to remove the key last night while the car was still in drive - luckily, it was in a dirt parking lot with tire grooves from rain, so no issue rolling. Put the car in park and it started fine. However, when I started heading to work and went to put my seatbelt on, I noticed the red seatbelt indicator light was not on as it usually is. Long story short - I assume there is some electrical issue in the dash/steering wheel area that is affecting some locking mechanism in the ignition and certain indicator lights (others still work). My question is - could this be a busted fuse and, if so, what might this area be referred to on a fuse map? I have referred to the maps for both fuse boxes but am unable to identify the relevant fuse. Would like to know which fuse it is specifically so I don't have to check each one individually.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

The car probably didn't start because you were in drive. A bad alternator won't cause a no-start unless it drains the battery or doesn't charge the battery.

The key interlock is powered directly from the battery, so no fuse to check. The seatbelt light would be on a fuse with other lights in the cluster, so I wouldn't think a fuse is bad. BTW, there is a quick way to check the fuses on a car with a test light. Look on youtube for some good instructional videos.

Your key interlock not working can be from the mechanical lock in the ignition switch, the wiring, or an electrical issue with the gear selector. If you want to try some electrical testing, we can give you some suggestions.
