so i was on my way back from school and the check engine light came on. i let the car sit awhile and gave it a test drive when i noticed i cant go over 3 rpm. i can shift all the way to 5th gear with no problem but no matter what gear im in i cant get over 3 rpm please help

 

also when i unplug my throttle position sensor my car shuts off can somebody explain please
