Default Car making funny noise in the rear

I have a 2003 Honda Accord

About a month ago my car started to make a funny noise in the rear. When I initially start it in the morning and back out of the garage there is this low whining noise thats coming from somewhere in the rear, but I have no idea what it is. I got the brakes checked recently and they said they were about half gone, and were unable to identify the problem. The noise mainly comes from backing up, but at times you can hear a fat metal scratching noise when going forward, it is very very faint though and only my son can hear it.

I'm hopin someone has had the same problem

Thanks for your help

i know it's normal for abs to buzz 2 times as it pressurises the system and a self test when you move above a certain speed.

my 98 used to click when backing up and it was determined to be the brake pads in the rear....all I did was remove them and put brake quiet on them and problem solved. I have not noticed any problems with my 02 CL (03 accord coupe is based upon this car)

When you are backing up, do you ride the brake a little?
I would jack up the rear of the car and turn the wheels backward and see if I could make the noise again and then go from there.
