It's possible the problem is low oil pressure due to blocked oil pump intake screen. This willl require removing oil pan to inspect.

First either replace oil pressure switch or directly measure oil pressure. Replacing oil pressure switch is likely less expensive.

I don't know what sizes the socket is. Suggest purchasing part and going to autoparts store for help.

good luck

Texas, some followup on my oil light issue:
I has the switch replaced by my shop a few weeks ago, light came back on a week or so later. I decided to change out the switch again myself (another import shop I deal with indicated that the aftermarket press switches can sometimes be bad). After second replacement light comes on again (i.e., first switch was probably good).

Took the car to my shop for an overnight stay so they could drive it around yesterday, and of course, the light never comes on. They tell me without the light they can't really do much. Tells me to take it home and if it comes back on drive it over with the light on. I'm driving in to work this morning and the light comes on. I drive straight to my shop (luckily its on the way). They take a look and don't really know whats causing it. Said oil pressure is good, if it was low there would be power loss, noise, etc. Said they thought there was a TSB that dealt with this problem and were going to look for it and give me a call if they found it. Otherwise he didn't see any problem with driving it. I turned it off so the light would reset, drove it all day today and no light. They seem to think electrical issue. Are you familiar with a TSB dealing with this?

Thanks for your help.
