hey man i have a pontiac sunfire 97 and i know that its not a honda but i have the same problem with my car. I did a compression test and it showed that it had low compression and my haynes manual said that it was my piston rings. Now i know there are differences in the two cars but i would try a compression test just to see if thats the problem. My car starts up and the idles rough but catches on and drives just fine. hope this helps
