I hope that someone might help.

I have a 1997 Accord Lx 2.2

At startup the engine idles at around 1800rpm and then seems to drop only after thermostat opens up. Also on occasion, after warmup, idles up and down. I'm not sure if the two symptoms are connected. I had a 91 that idle constantly fluxuated but the check engine light code stated it was the Idle Air Control Valva, which it was. Replaced and corrected it.

So, run down of symptoms on the 97 Lx 2.2
1. Idles high at startup until thermostat opens.
2. Strange idle from time to time.
3. Cooling fans run for long period after shut off and sometimes come cut on and off quickly.

Engine temp shows normal and no check engine light or codes.

Any idea where I should start?
