Car wouldn't start after car wash
Hi everyone,
need some help here. my car is a 2003 Honda Coupe v6.
My car wouldn't start right away after a regular wash tonight at a gas station. The dashboard lid up, engine check light was on, and beeping from engine check was ok. However, as soon as I turned the key to start it, lights on dashboard turned off right away, and engine didn't make a sound or even clicking, but I heard some ticking sound from the area where the fuse box is (close to where the handle to release the hood). It looked like that some water get in somewhere and that caused some temporary short circuit. I tried it at least 5 times and it started eventually (Thank god I didn't have to get stuck in the spraying booth).
This concerns me quite a bit because if I drive it in heavy rain one day, the engine could stop on the road/highway due to the water problem.
There is a remote starter device (not really sure if it's an alarm system or remote starter) installed on the windshield but I don't have the remote controller because I bought the car second hand from a dealership (they said they didn't got the remote controller too from the seller who traded in the car). I wonder if this (remote starter or alarm system) could cause some problem as I read somewhere here that remote starter or alarm system (relay for the starter kill) could cause similar problem.
Thanks in advance!

A remote starter could cause your problem. I am not sure how you disable it. You might want to remove it, since you don't have a remote to use it anyway (unless you are planning on buying a remote).
