The stock CD player wont play burned CD's, most won't. Get an aftermarket one if you wanna listen to your burned cd's. Get one of those cd player cleaning kits from like radio shack or best buy.

CD-r's will play the require like 30 sec of load time. thats why i hoped that a cleaner laser would help get that time down.

playing cdrs is like playing a scratch off lotto ticket. sometimes your win, sometimes you loose, and sometimes you get a free ticket!(that's a normal load time, hehe)

ok 2 new questions then, a freind of mine has a 2001 accord and has no problems playing cd-r's. would it be cheaper to find an 01 accord cd player and put it into my car or to put in an aftermarket unit? and if i were to get an afterwarket unit would the fact that there is a security system link to the stock cd player pose a problem.

you would just need the security code for the 01 radio.

cheaper? depends on who is selling the 01 radio
