Default Chanign spark plugs

I am getting ready to change the spark plugs on my 89 lxi accord. Is there somethign different in this cat that I should now or look for? Is it just take out the old plugs and put the new ones in? Or is there a gasket or something? Thanks for all our help!

just a simple re-move and replace, I would suggest getting a gap guage and checking the plugs before you put them in, use just a standard NGK (unless you've got a fair amount of performance stuff on there..), also, if it's not included a liittle tube of silcone electronic component stuff to put on top of the spark plugs and prevent the wires from "sealing" to the the plugs will help immensly in the future, just remove one, replace it and re-connect the plug wire so you don't have to worry about firing order...

Thanks for the info. No modification on it, so regular spark plug it is!

Don't forget to use anti-seize also, if you plan on ever removing those plugs again! My car's plugs didn't quite have enough on the last batch, and they were all an absolute b!+ch to remove.

Also remember to replace the copper crush gasket; if when you remove your old plugs the gasket doesn't stay on the plug, you'll have to reach into the spark plug recess to remove the old gasket. New ones come with your new plugs typically. I'd recommend checking the gap on the new ones too just as sir_nasty suggested...just because they're new doesn't mean that some bonehead employee didn't accidentally knock your plugs onto the floor!

BTW sir_nasty, what's wrong with Bosch? I've always used them, and never had any issues...

use only NGK brand,, the application for your car is BPR5EY-11 .. they should be pre gapped but chk to make sure ,
also about the gaskets, just look at the old plugs when you remove them make sure gaskets are in the plugs .I have never seen a gasket come off a NGK plug ,, i have seen them come off autolites. bosch ...
And by the way, DO NOT use any other brand than NGK, Honda engine love ngk plugs , bosch , autolite plugs on Hondas suck big time ..

I wonder why the dealer wants $60 for the spark plug wires set. Is this price in the correct range? They do not have them in stock, would have to order them.
