Default Check Engine Light and Electrical System

Our daughter drives our 1995 Accord and recently had to have the alternator and the battery replaced. Now, the very next day, the check engine light has come on twice. Can this be coincidental or is there likely a relationship between the repair and the check engine light coming on?

Thanks.

We can't be sure, because we don't know what is causing the CEL to turn on.

Follow these instructions and post the engine code that is stored.

Disconnect the negative cable from the car battery. Wait about 10 minutes and then conenct the negative cable again. That solved my problem when replacing the alternator on my 99 accord.
