Default Chipped ecu problems

I just bought an obd1 p28 chipped ecu that was tuned by a guy in California, I’m in Missouri. I had it tuned for a cold air intake, full exhaust, and 70mm throttle body (which ended up not being put on) the throttle body didn’t fit because it was for standard only. Now I replaced the throttle body gasket and Had to replace the tps as well. When I tried to plug in the new ecu and turned it on it sat at 2500 rpms bouncing. I couldn’t press the throttle more than 3,000 rpm and I couldn’t go into gear. Is there any ideas on to what could be wrong with it?

At this point you are pretty much on your own; your best bet would be to take your car to a shop which specializes in tuning modified cars.

Do you have an old ECU that could run your engine? If yes, then try using the old ECU to see if the programming is the issue.
