Clanking noise when I hit a bump.
I have a 94 accord ex and every time I run over a little sharp bump. I hear a metal clanking sound. Its coming from the front driver's side and I've checked the cover for the brakes and jiggled every piece I could touch under the car and in the engine bay. The sound is exactly like flicking the piece of metal covering the calipers.
2nd question, The other night some punks broke into my car and stole my stereo face. I purchased the car with the stereo and have no idea how to take it out to find the model # to find a replacement face. Is there a schematic or blown up parts diagram that can tell me how to remove the stereo? It was a lower model pioneer unit.
thanks Torn

Find some parts diagrams at hondaautomotiveparts dot com.
Click "PARTS" then put in your car's information.
Browse around the categories, I bet you'll have to look at more than one to find everything.

Instrument panel?
Instrument garnish?

Addressing the clanking noise, have you checked the swaybar end links?
The last picture of this link shows what I'm talking about;

Just checked and it isn't. The noise is most prevalent when running over those little bumps they install on the roads to "wake" people up from drifting into another lane. It sounds like a steel sheet of some kind that is loose and is vibrating on another piece of steel.

My next "bestest" guess.......... LOL
The radius rods where they go into the front sub frame, grab them and try to wiggle it.
If it needs tightened you'll have to drop off the shroud,and have a deepwell 17mm and swivel.
