Default Clutch Fluid Leak

Hello All,

I have a 1996 EX that is losing clutch fluid. I don't see any leaks at the master or slave. Took it to a shop also. They said no leaks and that I need a new clutch and that is why the fluid went down (because clutch is worn). However, i have had to add fluid every 3 weeks a few times now, so to me that doesn't make sense. Anybody had any experience like this? The piece of soft tubing above the tranny is wet, but it's hard to tell where that is coming from since there are small oil leaks everywhere at this point...

Thanks!

You fluid level will lower as the clutch wears, but not to the point where you have to add fluid. You have a leak and need to find it.

Look to see if the clutch cylinder is leaking into the cabin where it connects to the clutch pedal. That is a common problem. Also look inside the boot of the slave cylinder. It should be dry with no clutch fluid.

I'd also recommend cleaning up the areas around the engine bay as much as possible. You can spray something like athlete's foot powder on the clutch lines and look for stains to help identify the leak.
