Clutch Slipping?
Good Afternoon Forum members,
Car: 1989 Honda Accord LX - 5 Spd - 262000 km - the previous owner advised this is the original clutch.
Problem: Slipping Clutch
As a result of all of the snow around I have been driving my honda pretty hard for the past few weeks. Now I am feeling the clutch slipping and it takes more effort to climb hills. In addition sometimes it takes a bit more force to put the car in 1st gear.
My questions are:
[ol][*]Could the fluid level be low? if so how do I check it?[*]I see in the manual there is an adjustment screw for the clutch - how hard is this to access and could I get away with an adjustment?[*]Or Do I need a new clutch? does anyone know how much this will cost?[/ol]Can someone help me troubleshoot this one?
Thanks
