Default code p1457

Hello I just recently bought a 2001 Honda accord ex coupe and it has the check engine light in I hooked up a code reader and the code came back as p1457 can anyone help me and tell me how to fix it. Thanks.

The fun P1457.....there are about 4 or 5 things that can set this code. A service manual, volt meter and a vac pump are going to be needed to test everything.

Do you live in a part of the world where rust is an issue?

Purge valve, bypass solenoid, vent shut valve and the canister are the most common issues. There are more but those are the most common causes.

Again, testing is the key. If not throwing parts at it can start to add up pretty quick.
