Finally got my code pulled today. I did a search on this site & found a previous post that listed the P1457 code as " EVAP control system leak." I don't know what this means or even where to start. The car is a 1998 4-door Accord w/4 cylinder & auto with 98K miles. I'm old school & know nothing about this late-model stuff. ( I know it's almost 10 years old but it's late model to me. What should I look for & where ? Thanks. Dave

 

what i have found to cause that code is the ( evap system bypass solenoid valve ) part # 17012-S84-A01,, and the ( evap system 2 way valve ) part # 17371-S84-A01 ,,Replace them both it has fixed the code every time for me
.. they are located left rear of car , frt side of fuel tank , you have to remove some plastic cover to get to them
after done,, make sure to clear the ECU

I would still advice to have it properly diagnosed,before you replace parts, take it to the dealer or a shop that specializez on hondas
