should the temp sensor, when removed, have anti-freeze oozing out?

well, i suppose it would as that point is sticking out into the cooling system and is always in contact with the coolant, id like to see a pic tho. is is dripping or literally oozing like goo. anyway, that controls the temp guage and some other devices, but not the fans as a switch. so if your guage is working the sensor is working

i am not at my car right now, but i thought when I jumper that connector, both fans came on. so, that is not the switch I was suppose to change to get the fans working (not necessarily the A/C).

thanks.

heres a pic for the sensor, it also shows where the switch is in your car, and some other parts

this site also has alot of information on the cooling system, the diagrams on this site also show a flat surfaced switch

okay. from the picture, the switch i remove is not the correct one. i removed a switch that is buried below the ignition coil and behind/beneath the distributor. the picture seems to show that it is in front of the distributor and the radiator hose running from the "top" of the radiator no the bottom. so, this is the switch i want to remove, not the other one?

the switches in the pic are switch B i believe, you should read the site i posted, there is a section on why the fans dont run at all... and its directed at your car's year

so, looks like switch b is for when the car is off and the fan does not run. that is also my case, but should start with switch A first, right?

thanks again!
