Issue is Crank no start that is off/on again. Fuel pump is working. The old (stock) immobilizer worked with a locksmith log in on the PCM. Went for a smog and told to drive 50 miles for the PCM by the station. After the drive that was a treat, returned to get the smog with a pass.. Later after a drive with the car starting multiple times no problem, The car did the crank no- start thing again. After some trying to start with the immobilizer light not showing, soon after it did start to get the car home. What next?, any advise as always would be appreciated. One more item, the SRS light is on for the air bag after a battery charge /jump start.

Start paying close attention to how the key light behaves when the car starts normally to be sure the light is not working correctly when you have the no-start.
Still no green flashing immobilizer light and no check eng. .. along with fuel pump. Tried the scanner and it is no-link shown. Did the key off and on again thing and mounted the PCM to the floor board.with no change with the scan read, Yesterday the mobilizer light came back on the car did start a couple times.and there where no codes on the scanner. Still not confident for reliability at this time. The car started first try this morning and not this evening. I reinstalled the old mounting bolts for the ignition to the column. Maybe it is a ground thing, plan is to get new bolts soon. First off, not sure if it is better to start new post or just edit the current. New question is, does the key ignition that is mounted to the steering column- if removed and unplugged need to have locksmith reset when reinstalled?.. Reason is the new allen head bolts seem to being crossed treading and I would like to remove the unit to re-tap the treads with the 8mm 1.25 pitch tap. Thanks for any reply to this message
