Cruise Control is intermittent on 2005 Accord LX automatic
I have a 2005 Honda Accord LX with a manual transmission and about 92000 miles on it.
I was tooling along on the freeway the other day, about 80 mph, when suddenly my cruise control just stopped. I hadn't braked, I hadn't cancelled the cruise control - it just stopped working. Pressing "resume" didn't re-start it and I had to reset it.
Then after a few minutes the cruise control went out again. Since then the CC has been intermittent - sometimes it will work for hours, sometimes it'll go away and I'll try to regain it and it will conk out again right away.
It's only happened when I've been on the freeway, but that's the only time I use cruise control. I thought it was happening when there was a slight rise in elevation on the road, but then it happened when the road was flat too.
Any suggestions?
