Cut the hood release cable!!
My son bought a wrecked 1998 Honda Accord. We removed pretty much everything from the front end.
Last thing we needed to do was cut the radiator support out. But then after we were done, we realized we forgot to remove the cable to release the hood and it was cut in 1/2.
Is there any way to splice the cable? Like solder it together with another wire with a 2 inch overlap?
Or some kind of small cable clamp?
Or do we really need to go to a junkyard and get one?

I wouldn't get a junk yard one, as the cable or the sheath might have been kinked (the problem I had with mine), and could make opening or latching the hood a royal PIA.
