Default Daytime headlights

Sup guys,

I have a 06 accord, and a question for you guys. Any of you guys know a specific light bulb that produce white instead of ambor light color for the daytime headlights? As you know, the daytime headlights is using the high beam (9005) in a low low current. My lowbeam is Ultra white bulbs ( 9006) and it produce white at night of course when it's on. I use the same band and ultra white for the hight beam but since it is using such a low current that it's not producing white but instead ambor like. I test out with other bulbs and same thing.

Does anyone know if there is a specific kind of band and bulbs that produce white at a low current also? Or there is no such thing? Thanks

Welcome to the Forum!

have you tried a sylvania silver star? In addition to being super clear/bright at night they are a nice true white

The amber is because the filament is getting low current. A similar case would be when your flashlight batteries are almost dead. The filament will be red due to the low current.

Thanks,

I do have sylvania silver star but the low current is what make it ambor. That's why I was wondering if there is a bulb out that that use a low current but will produce a white looking instead of amber. But from the look of this, I don't think there is a such thing.

The silverstars and every other 12 volt headlight bulb will do the exact same thing so don't waste your cash on them.

I figure that. The other day, I saw a 4 black Civic and I think it's like a 2004 model. He has a daytime healight and it's white yet it wasn't too bright. I was like.. "what the hell?" I think he has to be using a HID converter for daytime because it was in his High beam section. He did a good job if it is. Oh well,,,, I thought maybe someone out there that know something that I don't. Thanks
