How do you fix a Honda speedometer that is not working? tnx..newbie here

What year car?
Those 1979 Accords didnt have a VSS, they had a speedometer cable.

Anyway, on newer ones, if the VSS goes bad, it sets off the check-engine light. If the CEL is on, read the error & make sure its for the VSS.

Otherwise, it could be a bad cluster, or bad wiring...
