Differntial/Axle fluid???
I'm used to working on my suv's and trucks, this is my wifes car I'm trying to learn about. I can't seem to find out if the 97 accord se she has needs to have new axle/differntial fluid into it. It's the original fluid at 155K now, I think it would help to have it drained and replaced. Are these sealed axles and if not, anyone have any links as to how to do this?
On my chevy it's just a drain plug and a fill plug and you just drain it, then fill it and you're done. Pics would help this newbie out.
Thanks!

5 speed or auto? In either case the differential shares fluid with the trans, there will be a drain plug under the trans with a 3/8 " hole in it, so you can use a 3/8" breaker bar to get it loose and drain the trans, If auto the dipstick hole is used for refill, 3 quarts Honda Z-1 ATF;if 5 speed look for a 17mm nut on a big plug above the passenger side axle for the refill; fill till it dribbles out 10w30 or Honda MTF.
Drain plug

on FWD <Honda>cars the differential is part of the transmission and uses the same fluid as the trans does for lubrication.

There's a couple exceptions where the diff has it's own fluid, but they're not Hondas.
