Drive axle leaking trans fluid
On my 1994 Accord LX, I replaced the drivers side drive axle and also the seal. I did not use a Honda axle, but a rebuild from a local parts store. It has been leaking since I did this work. I have the following questions:
- How far in do you seat the seal
- what tool / device is best for seating the seal
I am wondering if the seal diameter and the drive axle surface are not properly sealing.
Thanks for any help / suggestions.

RE: Drive axle leaking trans fluid
The 94 Accord Shop Manual does show a very detailed picture of installation and indicates a special drift tool to insure installation to proper depth. Doesn't say how critical.
Suggest downloading the 94-97 Accord Manual from one of Online Manuals links in DIY section. Same tool for both transmission housing and torque converter housing seals. If you can't download the manual, PM your email address and I'll forward the page you need.
good luck
