Dim CEL and ABS lights issues on Accord 92
Hi,
I guess its a commonly reported problem. A month back I had to get a new battery for my Accord 92. The old battery was dying and I had to jump start it or push start it almost everyday since the winter started here. Somewhere in these pushes and jumpings, the CEL and ABS lights went confused.
When I switch on to mark II, the CEL and ABS come on to say hello and go back to sleep after few seconds which is absolutely normal. But when I start the car, the both lights come back on but dim. Sometimes they come back on after a while but still dim. Sometimes they flicker but never with full brightness.
There is no engine misfire, there is no catalytic converter issue as the exhaust is fine and mileage is fine. The engine oil was replaced 2 weeks ago. All seems fine.
I cannot use an OBD as car is highly modified prior to me. Is it a grounding issue?
Can someone explain it to me how I can do it myself in simple words? Do I have to take out some fuse? How do I check for grounds? I do not have electronic gadgets so manual suggestions would help.
PS: I have had disconnected battery terminals overnight but it did not help.
Thanks

This is my first ride, bought few months back. The stock engine was F20A4 which has been replaced by F22B1 and hence OBD diagnostic tools won't work. There might be other justifications.
I will ask the mechanic again if he can access the connector behind the glove box.
Out of curiosity, do you reckon its a grounding issue?
