Default driver's power door lock problem - 2003 Accord

I just bought a 2003 Accord LX. The power door lock on the driver side does not lock or unlock in response to the remote control. I can see it move just slightly while I press the remote buttons, like it is "trying" to work, but it just doesn't seem strong enough. It operates fine manualy (putting the key in the hole and turning it), so it doesn't seem to be binding. Is it possible that the power solenoid is "weak," but not completely failed?

I would appreciate any thoughts and/or experiences.

Thanks,
Chris

Its also possible there is a loose/broken linkage between the lock motor & the actual lock. I think you have to remove the inner door panel & look around.
