I was joking........I made both yours and mine "really" go away. Just like a file on your computer, you can "delete" it but until you do something else.....its still there

Oh ok haha. Well I am done for the day playing with the electronics on the Honda. I will give it another go in a few days. I might just figure out a way to add a switch to give power to the lights by itself. This is starting to get at me that I can not figure it out. Makes me fell dumb. But I have always said that I hate electrical work. I can rebuild the engine but I cannot diagnose electrical problems. Man I hate cars. haha.

Did you replace the headlight switch?

No I didn’t replace the headlight switch because when it was acting up I checked and had power going to the switch and from the switch. I can’t remember the wires but they were in the middle of the connector. It had power coming to the switch and when I turned it on it had power going away from the switch.

The headlight switch supplies power to the the dash and rear lights through that red/blk wire.

At the headlight switch, check that the red/grn wire has power (source for the red/blk wire) when the dash/rear lights are not working. If you have voltage, then the headlight switch has to be the problem.

You may be able to take apart the headlight switch and clean the contacts. Maybe use some sandpaper to remove any flat spots. Then put some new dielectric on the copper contacts. I remember the wiper switch on my old 95 accord was pretty simple to disassemble. Never had to do the combination light switch.

Well thanks to my job I will not be able to look at my car until this sat. I am going to get another switch from the junk yard and see how it goes. Thanks again for all of the advice.

So I have tried a few different things that you guys have suggested. I tested the light switch when I had no lights. The red/blk wire the red/grn wire and the red/blue wire all have power with the key on and the light switch on. But the dimmer switch had no power going to it.
So then I walked away from it for a little bit and when I came back everything worked like normal. The dimmer switch then had power.

It is beginiing to sund like something in the wires??? If the RED/BLK at the light switch has power....yet the same RED/BLK at the dimmer does not.......
