Engine dies when warm

Engine dies when warm
1995 2.2Vtec Standard
Starts and runs fine, then after say 30 miles it stutters at an increasing rate until it dies. Pull over, let it cool and then it goes for another while.
Where do I start troubleshooting?
History
I replaced the ECU with a used one and it ran fine.
Thank you!

Do you mean the new ECU fixed it? Or the new ECU came some time before this problem started?
After it warms up & dies, I'd check for spark. Some starting fluid or carb-cleaner into the throttle body & see if it fires up for a couple seconds. My GUESS is that it won't, which points to lack of spark, which could be a couple things for you to check in the distributor.
