We purchased a 2007 Accord this past summer. The person we bought the car from had bought it from a dealership as a Certified Used Car. The warranty transferred to us when we bought the car. The Certified warranty extended the basic warranty to 48K and the engine/drive train to 100K or year 2014. We are approaching 48K miles on the car so I need to make a decision on wether or not it would be wise to purchase another extended warranty. The cost is $1,500. from the local Honda Dealership. It would increase the basic warranty to 7 year (2014) or 100k miles whichever comes first. The new warranty would not effect the engine/drive train since it is already covered under the existing warranty.

Do you think it would be wise to purchase this extended warranty or is it a waste of money? I appreciate any feedback & opinions.
