97 honda accord ex f22b non vtec:
Here is my problem, i am wondering where to spend my money at on this build was wanting to do complete package from bisi cam, springs, retainers, valves, port polish cylinder head, 12:1 pistons, this is gonna cost around 1200 dollars
would it be worth it?

Other avenue was to do a swap, something with 200hp or more looking at about same price for a base k series swap (cheapest i have found for motor with harness and brains)

what have ppl done before? what do ppl recommend, keep in mind this would be my d and d 120 mi. a day need something quick and reliable

 

Turbo it. Will spend about 2000 but make 300whp. Sure you can get a k series motor for that much but the transmission, engine mounts, axels, engine management, and wiring harness will cost you thousands.
